Carnival of
Souls
by Jazan Wild, Stefan Petrucha, and Kevin
Conrad
October 2005, will see the simultaneous release
of the color comic Jazan Wild's Carnival of Souls #1, from Markosia,
and Jazan's hard-rocking debut CD of the same name.
Stefan Petrucha (Kolchak, X-Files) supplies
the script for the comic book series — with art from Kevin
Conrad (Spawn, Kiss' Psycho Circus, Hulk) and colors from Dan
Kemp (Spawn, Kiss' Psycho Circus, Spiderman). A trade paper
back is being planned for a June 2006 - which will contain a
CD with rare bonus tracks written, performed and produced by
Wild.
Carnival Of Souls has been best described
as Twin Peaks and Lost meets Stray Bullets. According to creator,
Jazan Wild, "This Caravan of the damned travels between
this world and the next... between reality and dreams ... between
heaven and hell! Each issue we take the reader on a journey
to discover the life and death of a new member of the carnival."
The series has already gained much interest.
A special preview edition was printed for the San Diego Comic
Con and Wizard World Chicago. Anyone purchasing this special
preview book was also given a free 3 track promo CD.
The comic series is currently available in
the latest Previews catalog and is priced at $3.50. Publisher
Markosia has been so overwhelmed by the popularity of this book,
it has overprinted the first issue to meet further demand.
In addition Jazan Wild will be appearing at
Los Angeles' very own Golden Apple comic book shop on the 28th
October - for a Halloween promotion not to be missed!!! Get
